CALL FOR VOLUNTEER AMBASSADORS
Tourisme Riel is launching a recruitment campaign to add to its number of Riel Ambassadors.
We are recruiting bilingual individuals who are passionate about their city to be ambassadors during special events, celebrations and festivals throughout the year.
The Riel Ambassadors ensure a bilingual greeting, share their knowledge about the area with visitors and participants and add color and a presence to the events where a bilingual service is required or desired. The services of the ambassadors are offered to all Riel region attractions and organizations.
Activities in which the Riel Ambassadors have participated in the past include:
- Dinner for 1200
- French Canadian Pavilion at Folklorama
- Canada Day in St. Boniface
- Culture Days
- Nuit de_Art
- Saint-Jean-Baptiste Celebrations
- Doors Open Winnipeg
- Winnipeg Goldeyes francophone night
- Various celebrations and events
- Christmas in St. Boniface
- St. Boniface Radiothon
Training is provided for new ambassadors who also participate on a tour of area attractions. Other benefits include an appreciation event, a complimentary subscription to La Liberté and various draws and prizes. The Riel Ambassadors also enjoy complimentary access to various area attractions.
Volunteer hours are based according to the availability of the individual.
